About the Training

Senate Bill 827 (SB 827), codified in Government Code §53238, requires specified elected officials, appointed officials, and designated employees who have authority over, or provide recommendations related to public finances to complete fiscal and financial management training.

To support California counties and other public agencies in meeting these requirements, the CSAC Institute is offering SB 827 Fiscal and Financial Management Training. This course provides a practical overview of public agency fiscal management and governance responsibilities.

Training Format and Compliance

This course will be delivered as a live webinar.

To support engagement and verify attendance, the session will include interactive elements such as polling and participant discussion. Participants should plan to attend the full session in order to receive a certificate of completion. Certificates of completion will be provided following the session to support local agency recordkeeping requirements.
