California Realignment Training

For more than three decades, Realignment has shaped the state-county relationship and how California counties finance and deliver critical Health & Human Services and Public Safety programs. The 1991 and 2011 Realignment initiatives shifted significant program and fiscal responsibilities from the state to counties, creating funding structures that remain central to county operations today.

This two-day training moves from the historical and political decisions that shaped Realignment to the practical mechanics county professionals navigate today.

Who Should Attend?

The program is designed for Health & Human Services leaders, fiscal professionals, and program managers responsible for planning, financing, and administering county services. It is also valuable for professionals who are newer to Realignment and want to build a stronger understanding of the system and how its various pieces fit together.
