What Past Participants Said About The Executive Credential Program
Institute classes expand your skills, keeping your knowledge relevant and providing you with useful tools to use in your day-to-day work. But more importantly, they build a community of public servants, who can provide invaluable support, insights and ideas. Lifelong learning is critical in the public sector and the community you gain through the Institute makes the journey more rewarding.
This program serves as a transformative experience, providing participants with invaluable insights and tools to excel in their respective roles. Some of the key benefits include: Enhanced Leadership Skills, Strategic Thinking, Access to Expertise, Personal Growth, Expanded Network, and Improved Performance - David Dai, Riverside County The Leadership Institute in Monterey has been absolutely incredible. It's been so valuable to bring our County Department Heads, and High-level management together on a monthly basis in a cohort setting to explore principles of leadership and best practices for managing difficult situations. I'm so grateful to the county and the institute for providing an opportunity to explore these topics with growth mindsets and engage in a supportive safe space with experts. The Institute courses allowed us to breakdown silos between departments and to build relationships that can be a foundation to work together on technical county related issues. The conversations have continued outside the courses on ways to be more effective across a number of different issue areas, and how to become stronger and more effective as a county government agency. With a new cohort starting up this fall we're excited to continue learning together and to cultivate a culture that allows us to better serve the residents in our community.
What Past Participants Said About The It Credential Program
The CCISDA/CSAC Credential Program provided an environment for me to gain greater perspective into the services delivered by my County. Attending classes with CAO's, Board Members and Department Heads as my classmates forced me to look beyond technical topics and to the characteristics of a leader. I regularly recommend this program to others in my County. I enjoyed the program so much that after completing the credential, I went on to complete the requirements of the CSAC Institute Fellows program.
Most of the credential program classes were interactive and provided an atmosphere of sharing and collaboration. I found that to be one of the best aspects of the program. Meeting IT counterparts from other agencies and working with the in-class tasks was a great experience. As a CIO from a small rural county, not all information that was provided in each class was always relevant to our environment, but I would have to say that in each class there were nuggets of information that I found very useful. The conversations that were sparked because of a question from the course material or from someone sharing an experience from their own environment were priceless.
What Past Participants Said About The HR Credential Program
The multi day retreat format with wide variety of topics and presenters afforded a rare opportunity to reflect my approach to management, and my approach to work, from a variety of angles.
The training was amazing, the setting was perfect, the people were the best part of it. Networking was invaluable.
It took away some of the mystery of being an HR Director for someone who aspires to lead in that role someday.
